 What do you do here? Much, much less than the payroll people think.
Tell us about your radio history. Started as a kid, running tapes of real DJ's when I was 14. At 15, I “accidentally” erased one of the tapes and had to go on live. The rest, as they say, is history.
Who were your radio influences? Ethan Carey. Actually, we couldn't get him in Toronto where I lived, so I had friends mail me tapes (Too much sucking up? Okay.).
Who are your favorite groups or artists? Changed daily. I pick from a list of about 100 that are all tied for first place. Everything from Clapton to Sinatra.
What famous musicians have you met? Ethan Carey
What was the first concert you ever saw? The Rolling Stones, the concert they had to do for the blind back when Keith was busted for heroin. (I know, that's like saying “the episode of The A-Team with the gunplay,” but you asked.)
What was the BEST concert you ever saw? Clapton and Elton John, double bill, Dodger Stadium, August 1992.
Do you play a musical instrument? I'm learning how to play piano. Way harder than I thought it would be. Other than that, I just sing.
What are your hobbies outside of the radio station? Whatever my 1 year-old's hobbies are. Those, too, change from day to day.
What are your favorite movies? Chick Flicks, to be honest. “When Harry Met Sally,” “Sleepless in Seattle ,” and “It's a Wonderful Life.” Here's a hint, guys… your lady feels much more affectionate after a chick flick. After “Apocalypse Now,” not so much.
What are your favorite television shows? “Enterprise,” “Dead Zone,” “House,” “West Wing,” NEW Battlestar Galactica,” “24,” “American Idol.” But the topper of them all has to be "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition". I think that's the finest television show ever done, and I would give my left arm to be able to be "behind the scenes" on just one episode.
What are your favorite sports teams? Pats, Maple Leafs
What's your guilty pleasure? Big cold glass of milk and 15 – 20 chocolate chip cookies at a time.
What is your favorite “Adult” beverage? The oldest rum in the world, a brand from Barbados called “ Mount Gay ”. But you have to be careful how loudly you ask for it in certain establishments.
