Ryan Adams, a Texas man who prepared, cooked, and ate a dove that smashed into his home window -- and posted the process on his blog Monday -- has run a-fowl of the law. KRLD reports Texas Parks and Wildlife spokesman Steven Lightfoot said, "It is illegal to possess any wildlife resource that has not been taken legally…you have to have a hunting license and you have to have the appropriate weapon and ammunition."

Authorities are investigating whether or not to charge Adams, and his methodical "epicurean dove cook-out" blog has become a key piece of evidence, since he ate the rest. "I have never had such fresh meat before," Adams recalled on his site.
