2002 - James Hetfield of Metallica and wife Francesca welcomed their third child into the world, a daughter named Marcella.

2005 - Tenacious D enlisted a group of their rock buddies to perform at their benefit for Asian tsunami relief at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theatre. Beck, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme, and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters all performed solo sets before closing the show with a jam led by the D.
